Discover the places where the great opera composer, Giacomo Puccini lived, starting from Lucca and his Birthplace (today Puccini Museum) situated in the centre of the beautiful walled city of Lucca, conquered and pampered by its elegance, charm and relaxed atmosphere. Moving further up on the hills between the Serchio valley and the Appennine mountains, visit his family house (now Museum), in the small and charming village of Celle Puccini. Continue your journey heading down to the fascinating Versilia coast, in the little town of Torre del Lago, where the Maestro settled down in one of his favourite mansions, on the lake Massaciuccoli, and where he composed some of his most important operas as Madama Butterfly, La Bohème, Tosca and many others. End up the journey on the seaside in the town of Viareggio, where on the edge of the pinewood of Ponente, is located another of his beloved houses (not yet opened to visitors), surrounded by the mysterious enchantment of one of Puccini’s everlasting figures, Regina Turandot.
